Superintendent's Message

Pixley Union School District families and community members,

On behalf of the Pixley Union School District, I welcome you to the 2022/2023 School Year.

It is an honor to serve as Superintendent in a district and community that I fell in love with 29 years ago when I started my educational career teaching seventh grade at Pixley Elementary School. I appreciate and value your trust in sending your precious children to our schools every day. Our district consists of two school sites where approximately 890 transitional kindergartens through 8th-grade students walk through the gates daily. In these classrooms sits the next generation of decision-makers! Our Board of Trustees, Administrators, Teachers, and Support Staff believe that it is a privilege and our responsibility to provide students with the tools necessary to succeed academically, emotionally, and socially.   Pixley Union School District inspires students to be . . .

  • Creative, content-ready academic achievers collaborate, communicate, and demonstrate critical thinking.

  • Resilient learners who are personally responsible for their learning

  • Culturally, socially, and emotionally educated

As a Character Counts! district, we encourage our students to follow the six pillars of character in and out of our schools: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. We also believe that it takes all stakeholders (parents, guardians, family, teachers, school personnel, and community members) to work together to help meet our district’s common expectations.

Thank you for visiting our website, and we look forward to a great second half of the school year.

Sincerely,
Nancy Ruble
